If you haven't ridden with us before, you will start with a

New Rider Assessment Lesson.

Upon completing the New Rider Assessment, your instructor will recommend the YRClub that is best to assist your young equestrian in progressing through the levels of horse care, horseback riding skills and unmounted education.

*IMPORTANT*

What do we need to ride at DERS?

 Required Riding Gear: 

  • An SEI/ASTM Certified Horseback Riding Helmet is required.  NO bike helmets, ski helmets, etc.

  • Cowboy Boots or Riding/Paddock Boots.  NO tennis shoes, hiking boots, or sneakers.

  • Shirts with sleeves are required. No tank tops, etc.

  • Riding Gloves are highly recommended to prevent blisters and calouses.
  • Half Chaps are highly recommended to prevent saddle sores and protect the inside of the riders leg.

Please keep riders home if he/she or anybody closely connected have symptoms of illness.  This includes: dry cough, fever, runny nose, sinus congestion, etc. We appreciate your respect for this as we strive to keep our community healthy.
